Agrofirm "Poisk" has developed a selection cucumber "Crew", which has all the necessary characteristics. Widely used since February 2014. A stable high yield is obtained with a successful combination of the properties of the variety and agricultural technology.

Description of the variety

A characteristic feature of the cucumber Crew is its fruitful consistency in the open field and in film greenhouses. The variety is parthenocarpic, which means fruit setting without obligatory pollination. This nuance provides a clear advantage to the hybrid for growing in greenhouses, as it allows to do without the participation of insects as pollinators. This makes the cultivation process much easier.

Variety Crew

Note! The plant has a strong stem, but weak self-regulating branching.

Lateral whips develop poorly, plantings do not thicken, and a bountiful harvest is formed on the main stem. This property of the plant frees vegetable growers from the constant formation of bushes.

For a period of 38 - 42 days, the cucumber manages to develop from seedlings to a full-fledged ripe vegetable. Fruits are cylindrical in shape with large white thorns. Fruit sizes - within the length up to 14 cm, diameter up to 4.5 cm, weight reaches 120 - 150 g. Suitable for pickling and eating in the form of salads.

Agricultural technology of cultivation

The yield depends on several factors:

  • The qualities of the potting mix. The soil is prepared in a timely manner, disinfection is carried out (heat treatment or with the use of special disinfectants).
  • Seed material treatment (growth stimulants, fungicides).
  • Diving of seedlings in the phase of two leaves in order to strengthen the root of the plant before planting in the main place in the ground. The agricultural technique of picking provides for the removal of 1/3 of the root. The deepening into the soil is carried out immediately after the dive in order to develop, strengthen the root system even on a buried stem.
  • Compliance with the uniformity of watering. Excess moisture can provoke disease.
  • Illumination level. When arranging containers with seedlings, you need to take into account the access of light to each bush, do not obscure the seedlings with neighboring plants.
  • Temperature monitoring, draft protection.
  • Top dressing of seedlings 2 weeks after picking. It is recommended to feed after 1 - 2 weeks. Liquid and granular fertilizers are used (nitrogen, potash, phosphoric, with magnesium, iron, zinc and boron). Fertilizers containing sulfates should be avoided. Do not violate the concentration indicated on the drug packaging.

Planting cucumbers with seedlings in the ground

If signs of a disease are detected, it is necessary to immediately start treating seedlings. For this purpose, special products are sold.

Important! Experienced vegetable growers recommend forming the harvest of cucumbers on the central stem, since food arrives there faster. The harvest is early, of excellent commercial quality.

The row spacing also matters. In wide rows, the air does not stagnate, the plants have enough oxygen. As a result, the diseases do not have time to damage the plants.

Proper agricultural technology is the key to the health of cucumber bushes and high-quality fruits.

Advantages and disadvantages of the variety

Advantages include the cultivar's resistance to cucumber mosaic virus. The hybrid does not lend itself to olive spot and powdery mildew. Good productivity is noted and fruiting lasts quite a long time. The variety is suitable for universal consumption.

The disadvantage of the cucumber variety Ekipazh, like other hybrid varieties, is the fact that it is impossible to collect and sow seeds on your own, they do not retain the declared properties. Only one year you can sow seeds, the next year you need to buy new hybrid seeds for sowing.
